Certified Organic Milk
Our product starts with 27 Holsteins grazing on  Andrew Smit's certified organic farm at
428 Whitevale Road, Lumby. The cows are free to graze on pastures, consuming green
grass in the summer and feeding off hay in the winter. The creation of a good quality
cheese, starts with a healthy, happy cow.
Currently we are picking fresh milk up twice a week.

It is fun to stroll among outdoor stalls of fresh produce and local crafts and tap your feet to the music. The Farmers’ Market makes shopping a pleasure. The Sorrento Market is a community gathering place. “Come for the freshness; stay for the fun.” Take the time to visit our NEW Hospitality Tent, we offer information about local events, fund-raisers, non-profit groups and places to visit.

Established in 1973, our market is the oldest continuously running market in BC. In true country atmosphere you may enjoy a coffee and a muffin, ethnic foods, conventional and organic vegetables and fruits, local honey, homemade bread and other baked goods, jams and jellies, cheeses, free range eggs, snacks, gorgeous flower arrangements, plants, home and garden accessories, beautiful wooden bowls, jewelry boxes, wooden planters and garden furniture, unique clothing for kids and adults, fabulous handmade jewelry, fashion accessories, soaps and body products, and numerous other items produced by the vendors. Our motto is "we make it, bake it or grow it". It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning. As you stroll along making your purchases you can visit with friends and neighbors while being entertained by some of our local musicians. See you there!

The Market was started in 1975 as a place for small local farmers who have no ready market to sell their products. By joining together, they created a marketplace. The Market was originally put together for the farmers, but it eventually caught on to the crafters. There is a limited time for fresh produce and with the onslaught of winter, the market moves indoors. You can find a selection of Vendors at our Winter Market in Centenoka Park Mall from October to April. The Market also hosts a Christmas Market each year in December. Our Mission is to promote and encourage the sale of top quality local produce and plants, hand crafted items, and baking. Also important is to maintain a suitable location in the Shuswap as a market venue for as many months per year as possible. It is imperative to foster a supportive sense of community by providing space for and promoting educational interactions between local non-profit groups, the Shuswap Farm and Craft Market Society, and the general public.
